FUNCTION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Team Leader oversees all activities and is responsible for the production team. They ensure that recipe preparation and ingredient weighing are carried out in accordance with established standards.

During production, he is responsible for the filling pumps and ensures that established deadlines are met.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure the preparation and commissioning of the production line
  • Supervise the preparation of recipes from weighing ingredients to filling the cooker
  • Supervise the bottling process and correct any deviations during production
  • Leads the production team in carrying out their tasks.
  • Communicate daily production instructions with the work team (Daily Meeting at the start of production)
  • Participate in weekly production meetings and communicate all relevant information to the work team
  • Support quality control and enforce food safety requirements (HACCP standards)
  • Ensure that employees work safely and comply with established occupational health and safety (OHS) standards
  • Complete production records
  • Monitor performance indicators
  • Help identify training and skills development needs
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of processes (Equipment, Workforce, Working Methods, Organization of Operations)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Any training deemed relevant
  • Experience in personnel management
  • Experience with HACCP standards, an asset
  • Sense of organization and planning
  • Ability to work in a team, under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to lift loads ranging from 10 to 60 lbs
  • Leadership, sense of communication
